Smash Champs is a unique action /adventure game where you train your fighters to battle opponents and gain power and success. It sounds cliché, but it has a few tricks up its sleeve that make it an interesting game. For example, familiarizing yourself with Fruit Ninja helps in certain aspects of the game. The iOS game is free with in-app purchases and is compatible with iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.

Almost everything in Smash Champs APK MOD strikes me as a blend of the conventional and the unconventional. The game as a whole follows a traditional template for this specific genre, but the idiosyncrasies lie in the details. The team of six fighters in Smash Champs are all personified animals, as is the pig sensei.

Fighters

You start with a single fighter, which you can freely choose from six. After choosing one, the other five are locked until you earn enough XP to unlock them. To begin a duel, you must first train your fighter, or “champion,” depending on the game. This is where the Fruit Ninja experience comes in. As the sensei, you present your apprentice with what appear to be training orbs and throw them by swiping across the screen as they appear. The process is very similar to slicing fruit, except that a “slice” actually propels the orb forward. Avoid throwing spikes.

If your champion is trained enough, they should win the next battle. These battles are against a computer, a live friend who also owns the Smash Champs APK MOD game, or a random live online opponent. Continue this process to gain new powers and intensify your battles and training sessions, as well as unlock new items and characters as you progress through the adventure.

Graphics

For a free-to-play title, the graphics and performance are absolutely stunning. The game’s design is beautiful in every aspect and it runs smoothly on my iPhone 6. I couldn’t find a single problem even when exploring the environment in detail.

Although it’s easy to download, Smash Champs APK MOD offers in-app purchases, but it’s not always easy to reach a point in the game where you feel compelled to spend money on them. They’re just coin packs; the cheapest pack is $4.99. However, you do earn coins as you progress through the game. Coins can help you skip difficult tasks, but is cheating in the game really that fun?

Smash Champs is a thoroughly engaging action/adventure game unlike anything I’ve played before on the App Store. The developers (who, incidentally, are the creators of the immensely popular Subway Surfers) are clearly the masterminds behind it. The Fruit Ninja-esque training is fantastic, and I’m still raving about the excellent graphics. Priced low and seemingly out of nowhere, Smash Champs is well worth a quick search and download from the App Store. It turned a critic into a fan.
