Enemy units inside the castle are the main targets you need to eliminate, because defeating all of them will immediately give you the victory. However, units positioned deeper inside the castle can remain protected by several layers of walls and structures around them. They become easier to attack only after the outer walls are gradually destroyed and the damaged area reaches their position.

Because of this, you need to carefully choose where to fire and find suitable points on the castle walls to create openings. Shooting at the walls does more than simply damage the castle, as it can gradually remove the protection around enemy units and expose those hiding deeper inside. This makes every shot more meaningful and requires you to think about the best way to break through the castle.
